REGISTERED MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR INTERN
EMDR-TRAINED THERAPIST
Nina is a dedicated therapist with a deep passion for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and move toward healing and personal growth. Her journey into counseling was inspired by her early work with disadvantaged and trauma-exposed populations, where she witnessed firsthand the transformative impact that compassionate support and guidance can have. She holds a Master of Science degree from Long Island University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University. Since 2009, Nina has worked in a variety of settings—including mental health clinics, healthcare facilities, schools, and colleges—supporting people from diverse backgrounds as they build the skills and confidence needed to heal, grow, and thrive.
Her approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and personalized. Nina is committed to creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel comfortable exploring their experiences, processing difficult emotions, and discovering their inner strengths. Using an integrative and trauma-informed approach, she draws from evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness techniques, and person-centered therapy. Together with her clients, she works to uncover the root causes of struggles, develop practical coping strategies, and build resilience.
Nina’s goal is to empower individuals with the tools and insight needed to navigate life’s obstacles more effectively while fostering lasting emotional well-being. She believes that life does not have to be a series of events that simply happen to us—we all have the capacity to shape what comes next. With the right support, individuals can reconnect with their strengths, rediscover hope, and move forward with greater confidence and purpose.

"I am here to walk alongside you, helping you find strength, resilience, and a path forward."
